Dorrie was an absolute gem! He made our lattes fresh and truly made my night. The food was absolutely delicious - I had the French Onion soup, the Dynamite Shrimp Bowl, and a Caffe Latte. This charming spot in Montrose is a must-visit. The service was outstanding, with everyone being incredibly kind, friendly, and genuine. I can't wait to come back! I was so excited to dig into my food that I forgot to take a picture (I took one when I was almost half done), but trust me, these shrimps will leave you craving more!

What a cute little cafe. We were in the area and looked at Yelp for a cafe or somewhere we could have a coffee and pie or other dessert. i went right to the menu pics and didn't see many showing desserts. If I had not looked at the menu pics I would have seen that have a pretty well stocked pastry display with pies, cakes and so much more. We ended up getting a couple of coffees and bread pudding. We also took a zucchini bread home. We had plans to try the zucchini bread there but after eating the bread pudding, we decided to take it home and have it later. I will say that we saw so many great dishes being served while we had our coffee, we decided that we definitely have to come back. The question is what we will have. The Montrose-Cristo or the pot pie, which I didn't see on the menu but looked amazing. One of the great things of coming to a restaurant like this is that you get that friendly local vibe and service. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming.

we came for desserts and wished we had ordered food. everything around us looked amazing. the service was excellent. they allowed us to purchase coffee & desserts at the to go counter, but we were able to eat our dessert here. The girl at the cafe was so nice gave us extra plates & eating utencils for us to enjoy our bread pudding. nice little place, i will be back!

First time here. Great location for catching up with friends. Noisy ambiance, so now worries if you have small children. The service was spot on. The food was satisfying and the price was reasonable. I would highly recommend it!

Great local coffee shop/diner type concept located in the middle of Honolulu avenue Montrose shopping area. Super cute interiors and great family service. Great breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. Some of the best onion soup around. Lots of fresh baked good too.

We were looking for a place to eat that allowed dogs. We just got a new puppy and he needed to join us for breakfast. Called the Black Cow Cafe just to make sure they allowed dogs. They did. So we drove on over. We went inside to have the host seat us. It was very cute inside and had an area with a bunch of bakery items. Looked delicious. We were taken to an outdoor table that was right out front. The place was pretty busy for a Monday morning. But we didn't have to wait for a seat. Our waitress came over quickly and got our drink orders. She was very friendly and helpful with our selections. I got a Sangria. Wow!!! So refreshing!!! Between the two of us, we ordered Cowabunga omelet - husband ordered this. He said it was delicious and it looked amazing. Cow Benedict - this was mine. Amazing. My first bite was the potatoes that came with it. They were delicious. Cooked to perfection with great seasoning! The Benedict was served on a CROISSANT!! It was so good!! 2 poached eggs, delicious large slice of ham, orange hollandaise sauce on a freshly baked croissant. Amazing!! Toasted Zucchini Bread w/cream cheese- this was delicious. Perfectly toasted and the cream cheese gave it a little extra. You can get it without cream cheese too. Apple Cinnamon Roll - served warm. This was very good. The apples and cinnamon cooked into the cinnamon roll were delicious We had a great experience here. The food was great. The service was great! And it was a beautiful day to sit outside.

This is a great casual, not hoity toity, dining spot. We went here for dinner after hiking and there were a ton of families with their kids. Very friendly staff that were super attentive and had wonderful food suggestions. I was impressed with the flavors of the blackened chicken on angel hair pasta on their specials menu. I love a pasta doused in sauce and it was delicious. My partner loved the almond crusted sanddab. It was very Thai-esque. It was light and not fishy at all.
